Yagiyama Beny Land
Yagiyama Beny Land opened in 1968 as the first amusement park in the Tohoku region. Even today, attractions dating back to its early years—such as the go-karts, teacup rides, and roller coasters—remain in operation, giving the park a nostalgic retro atmosphere.
Today, the park features around 30 attractions supervised by the Sendai City Transportation Bureau, ranging from exciting rides like the “Kids Train Tozai Line,” a realistic recreation of the city’s subway line, to attractions that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Another highlight of the park is its wide variety of events, including special live performances by artists from Sendai and the surrounding region.
Every year from early September through late November, visitors can also enjoy the park’s popular “Imoni Set,” which allows guests to experience Sendai’s famous imoni stew without bringing any equipment or ingredients.
Why not relax and enjoy a warm bowl of imoni under the crisp autumn sky, much like a barbecue picnic?
