Tokyo Solamachi is a shopping complex adjacent to Tokyo Skytree. Its concept is “New Shitamachi Style,” and it features more than 300 shops and restaurants, as well as entertainment facilities such as an aquarium and a planetarium.
On the fifth floor is Sumida Aquarium, where visitors can see the Ogasawara Great Tank, which recreates the ocean around the Ogasawara Islands, a World Natural Heritage site. The indoor pool-style tank is home to penguins and fur seals.
On the seventh floor is Konica Minolta Planetarium Tenku in Tokyo Skytree Town, where visitors can enjoy not only the starry sky but also immersive light and sound effects, along with aromatherapy.
