Sapporo Television Tower
Completed in 1956, the Sapporo TV Tower stands as a symbolic landmark in Odori Park.
From its observation deck, approximately 90 meters above ground, you can enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the city. On clear days, the scenery extends as far as the Ishikari Plain and the Sea of Japan.
At night, the tower is beautifully illuminated, offering a completely different atmosphere. Whether viewed from below or from the observation deck, its charm can be appreciated in multiple ways.
Inside the observation deck, you will find a variety of attractions, including souvenir shops and the unique “TV Dad Shrine.” In the southeastern section, don’t miss the “Scary Window,” a floor-to-ceiling glass panel that creates a thrilling, immersive view of the city below.
Between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., volunteer guides from the Sapporo Chamber of Commerce and Industry are available to offer sightseeing assistance and share insights into Sapporo’s history.
