The Kunimasu, which used to live only in Lake Tazawa in the world, was once thought to become extinct due to the introduction of acidic water from the Tamagawa River. But in 2010, they were discovered again in Lake Saiko, Yamanashi Prefecture. The Kunimasu are bred and exhibited at this museum, and the lives of the people who lived by the lake at that time are introduced on many panels.
