Mt. Moriyoshi is known as one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan for its flowers and as one of the three best places in Japan for viewing trees covered in frost. You can also meet the friendly and charming Hokuto-kun, an Akita dog, near the entrance of the station building at the foot of the mountain.
