Bangaku is a form of kagura music and dance performed by mountain priests. Nekko Bangaku is a form of dance that pre-dates the Kowakamai, the predecessor of Noh, and is designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan because of the outstanding literary quality of its lyrics.
