With a depth of 423.4 meters, Lake Tazawa is the deepest lake in Japan, and features the golden statue of Tatsuko, which enhances the mysterious cobalt blue color of the lake. We also recommend taking a cruise ship or boat to enjoy the lake up close (not available in winter).
